My husband (and fellow LOLIN volunteer) Jon and I had only been married a few months when we got our first dog, a stray found by a friend. A few years later we adopted our first lab from a friend. Who was moving and we have owned labs ever since Pele joined our family. In the summer of 2006 our daughter came across a website of another rescue and talked us into being fosters for two 6 month old puppies. It was a wild experience but we were hooked on saving dogs.   In January 2007 we became a foster family for Love of Labs. Since then we have fostered over 50 dogs, including two litters of puppies. Being the president of Love of Labs has been challenging and rewarding. We see the desperate situations that many dogs are in and it is heartbreaking not to be able to help them all. Love of Labs has a special quality of taking in the dogs with medical needs as well as the dogs that are easily adopted. We are striving together to save as many as possible. Seeing the happy families and the happy dogs makes all the work worthwhile.

Deanna B. ~Vice President, Adoption Coordinator
vicepresident@lolin.org

I started my journey with LOLIN in Oct. 2008 when I contacted them about an ad that was placed on Craigslist about an unaltered, unsheltered, and unloved lab that was desperate to find a home. I wanted to foster her if LOLIN would help get her adopted. Unfortunately, someone else had taken her before I could get her, but my journey continued on. I began fostering Beth, who we fell in love with and adopted. I then went on to become the Transport Coordinator, which then led to my current position as the Adoption Coordinator. I get such pleasure out of helping these deserving labs find their forever family. LOLIN is a big part of my life that is very rewarding. I can't wait to help you find your next family member!
