Businesses We Love
We couldn't do without the awesome local businesses who partner with Love of Labs to provide foster care for some of our dogs. LOLIN highly recommends the services of all of these businesses.
Dog Day Care
Camp Bow Wow
http://www.campbowwow.com/us/in/indianapolis
An "open play" atmosphere provides three separate indoor/outdoor play areas. Your dog will have plenty of room to romp, snooze, or just hang-out with the other pups. Camp Bow Wow offers a spot to one of our foster dogs to come, stay, and play!
The Wigglebutt Dog House

Dog Dayz
http://www.dog-dayz.com
Indy's all inclusive dog resort provides boarding, training and grooming. Dog Dayz generously donates one of their boarding spots to a LOLIN foster dog and also provides our LOLIN fosters with specialized behavior training.
For the Dogs
http://www.daycareforthedogs.com
Dog daycare in a cage-free environment provides dogs with a social setting that helps teach your dog how to properly interact in a group setting. Your dog is not confined, but is able to run in a supervised area while getting lots of exercise. A Tired Dog is a Good Dog! For the Dogs provides a spot for LOLIN foster dogs.
Lucky Dog Retreat
http://www.luckydogretreat.com
Lucky Dog Retreat provides dog daycare and boarding 7am to 7pm 7 days a week. Dogs have access to a 3000+ square foot outside yard, fresh air and fresh water at all times, a 2400 square foot supervised playroom with agility equipment and toys! Training is also offered on site. Lucky Dog also fosters dogs for Love of Labs.
Training
Both Lucky Dog Retreat and Dog Dayz offer training. We also recommend you contact your veterinarian for advice on options for training. LOLIN recommends using professional trainers for adult dogs and using pet-store based training classes only for puppy socialization.
Humane Society of Indianapolis' Canine Training School
http://indyhumane.org/training/index.php
The Canine Training School promotes dog-friendly methods so that all members of the family can take part in the training of the family dog. Behavior that is rewarded is repeated, and HSI does not use force or compulsion in training. The training program is based on the 3 M's - Management, Motivation and Modifying Behavior. The canine trainers discuss how to properly manage your dog's behavior to minimize inappropriate behavior, teach you how to motivate your dog to respond to humans, and begin to modify behavior through training.
Rick Doucette
Rick Doucette, former Director of Canine Training for the Humane Society, commonly evaluates LOLIN dogs and works with our foster homes for basic training needs and more advanced behavior training and advice. He offers private in-home sessions for behavior and/ or training issues. He also offers a reality based walk/training class to increase socialization and exposure to common situations. Rick can be contacted at rick_doucette@yahoo.com
